Slinkachu Research
The 'Little People Project' started in 2006. It involves the re-modelling and painting of miniature model train set characters, which he then places, photograph and leave on the street. It is both a street art installation project and a photography project. The street-based side of Slinkachu's work plays with the notion of surprise and he aims to encourage city-dwellers to be more aware of their surroundings. The scenes he sets up, more evident through the photography and the titles he gives these scenes, aim to reflect the loneliness and melancholy of living in a big city, almost being lost and overwhelmed. But underneath this, there is always some humor in them.
The images below are taken from the artists own website. I think that it is important to show you some of his work so you can see the actual detail and clarity that I am personally aiming for.

In this photograph Slinkachu uses the image of a miniature hot dog stand to say that even small things have a big appetite. If you look at the sausage it is bigger than the people themselves.
I really like this picture, It has inspired me to make a picture similar to this. I like the fact that the hot dog stall is set up against a tyre. The power spot is the sausage as your eyes are drawn to that first then the pink name.

I think that this picture is really good because it has the sense of urgency with the use of the police van and police figures out on the road. The power spot is the police vehicle which has cleverly been placed on an angle.
