Slinkachu Project
In this Project i looked at the work of a photographer called Slinkachu and worked in the style of him .
- this picture is unique in every way as with most Slinkachu but this makes a lochness monster as a shoelace.
- it is on two points of focus so you notice them right away.
- it is one of my favorite pictures that i have seen in the style of slinkachu and of hi work itself.
Experimenting
The photographs below are just some early experiments of mine. I had to get used to the camera and the focus, which was not easy. I wanted to try something new with the tiny figures that I had to use as part of my "Slinkachu" project. As you can see from the slide show below, most of these turned out slightly blurry. These few pictures that I took are the first try. I had a couple of ideas, one being to use a length of rope, trying to create an image of Military Rappel. As these were the very first shots that I took, I think that the first couple turned out okay but I know that they can be improved a lot more than what they are now, especially the picture with the rope.
After over a year learning with the camera I now know that these pictures are not good if I take the the photos again i can make them better.
Best & Worst
These photos are probably the best ones I took even though they are blurred. I had only just started using a DSLR camera. I knew where I wanted to go regards placing the figures and putting them into position, I just did not get the focus right. I particularly like the photo of the figure holding a pencil. I took this from a "Birds eye view" shot. the power spot in this photo is the red back pack on the figure learning over the pencil.
If I had experimented a little more and played with the settings a little more I am sure I could have achieved clearer pictures. I am pleased to say that I am much more experienced with a camera now than when I first started my GCSE Photography.
Whilst I was away on a field trip to Angelsy with my GCSE class, I took some blurry photos, though not purposely and if I was more aware and competent with the camera, I think I would have retook them but I didn't know how or why they were blurry.
